On September 19th, 2010 God blessed our family with another beautiful healthy baby boy, Summit Blu. Here is the store of his dramatic entrance into this world:

Saturday, Septmeber 18th I woke up around 4am with some mild contractions, about ever 10-15 minutes. I layed in bed until about 7am and decided to get up and do some final things around the house, assuming Baby Paddock #2 would be coming soon. Around 9am the contractions were strong enough that I was having to breath through them, coming every 5-8 minutes and my water started to leak. I called the midwife and she told me to call her when they were more like 4-5 minutes apart, consistantly. I sat on my birthing ball, called my sister and my Mom to let them know that they should head out becuase baby was on his or her way! The contractions seemed to be getting stronger by the minute, and so I called my midwife back around 9:45 to let her know, and she advised me to come get checked. We called our babysitter, who was on her way to a Huskies football game. So I thought "no worries, I will go with plan "B", my neice Brooklynn". Come to find out, she too was on her way to the game! Long story short, Cedar made a few phone calls, pulled a couple strings, and between his Dad, a friend of the family Becky, we had a sitter for Tag.

We arrived at the hospital around 11:00am, they sent me to "get checked" and verified that yes I was indeed in labor and dilated to a 5. I remember thinking I better be at least a 7, so when she told me I was only a 5, I wanted to cry! We got to our room, and my midwife suggested I start walking the halls, to get things going. So we (my sister, Mom, Cedar and I) walked those hallways for what seemed like weeks! Walking made my contractions harder, and closer together which is what we wanted! I remember telling Cedar, "This is so hard, it hurts so bad!" and he kept telling me, "you can do it Terah!", he kept me going and reminded me that there was a light at the end of this tunnel! After I walked, walked, and walked some more, I decided I needed to get in the tub! So I got in the tub and labored in there for about an hour which slowed my contractions down a bit. So my midwife suggested I get out and labor on my hands & knees in hopes of getting baby to turn(face down instead of being face up). I wasn't crazy about the idea, but I knew it was the best idea. So I began laboring on my hands and knees, and the contractions started to get harder, and closer together....I felt as though I wasn't getting any breaks! As I was coming down off of a hard contraction, I looked at my midwife and said " I need an epidural!"....she calmly replied "ok, let me ask you when you aren't in a contraction and we can go from there". So she asked me, and I decided to try a bit longer, but as soon as the next contraction came, I was again demanding an epidural! I remember feeling defeated at his point, I started to cry! After I had determined I did for sure want an epidural, it seemed like FOREVER to get one! I kept asking "where is the he?" and all I heard was "he is on his way!".

After getting my epidural my midwifed checked me, and I was at a 8, ya! I was so exhausted my midwife decided I should sleep for a couple hours. Baby was still posterior(head up, not down), so she had me sleep one hour on my right side/tummy and one hour on my left side/tummy in hopes of getting baby to turn.

My midwife came in after 2 hours, checked me, and announced that I was fully dialated and ready to push! I was so thrilled to hear that I was a 10 and ready to push! I asked my midwife, "can I hold the baby on my chest right after I delivered?" and she said "of course, but you have alot of work ahead of you!".

I pushed for an 1 1/2 hours, baby wasn't budging and still posterior . It seems like around this time, things started heading "south". I spiked a fever of 102, baby's heart was showing signs of distress, and then meconuim (baby pooped, which is a sign that the baby is in distress). My midwife let me know that she was going to get the doctor on call to come evaluate my situation and we were gonna go from there. At this point, I knew we were in store for another C-section. Sure enough after the doctor evalutaed me and baby, she highly suggested a c-section. I was so bummed!!!

After waiting for the c-section before me to get done, we were off to the operating room. I was so tired, I could barley keep my eyes open. Shortly after the c-section began, the doctor performing the operation, announced "I can't get this baby out!" He was engaged in my pelvis to low. The doctor shouted, "I need Doctor ------ for Mommy, and Doctor ------ for baby, STAT!". At this point, nurses are running around getting things ready. The doctor she called on to assist came in as the doctor performing the c-section says "the baby's arm is out!" as she pushes it back into my uterous (the babies head must be delivered 1st in a c-section). The doctor who came to assist, was instructed to push the baby back up into my uterouse (yes through the birth canal), and push he did as hard as he could. Finally he pushed hard enough and baby came out! The doctor says "what do we have Dad?", and Cedar replied "we got another boy babe!".

At this point, the doctor called for a blood tranfusion, since I had lost so much blood. I was concerned more about baby since he wasn't making much noise. Come to find out, he swallowed alot of fluid. They had to put a tube down his through to clear his lungs and stomach, bruising his little tongue black and blue. Finally I heard a cough, a small little cry, and was so relieved! Afer they sewed me back up (which took forever!) the doctor called off the blood tranfusion, and decided that if they could get me back on fluids, I was healthy and young enough that my blood pressure should come back up and it did, praise God!

After a 2 night stay in the hospital, were were able to come back home with our new healthy baby boy, Summit Blu Paddock. Born at 12:46am on September 19th 2010. Weighing 9lbs, 14oz and 22.5 inches long.

We are so thankful to our heavenly Father for a healthy Mommy, and healthy beautiful baby boy!

We headed down to Ocean Shores to do some claming, and hang out on the beach. Tag really enjoyes picking up the clams and throwing them....he was also a big fan of getting dirty in the sand!

Christmas 09

We had a great Christmas, which started off with a trip to Leavenworth with the whole family from the 16th to the 22nd of December. It was great to relax and play in the snow! On Christmas Eve we celebrated with Cedar's Mom. Tagney scored big with lots of toys!! Christmas day we went to my parents place, then to Don Huber's. We are blessed beyond measure with great friends and family!

Tagney liked being pulled in the snow, and every once in a while he would reach out and grab a handful of snow and eat it, too cute!

Hangin' Out With My Da Da!

As many of you know Tagney has always been a classic Momma's Boy, however in the last month it has become quite evident that he is turning into quite a Daddy's boy! Daddy is Tagney's favorite! He loves to play with Da Da as you can see from the pics below! Everyday Tagney shouts "Da Da!" calling his name. When Cedar is home, he answers back "Tagney!" and Tag gives a big grin and shouts back "Da Da!" and so on. When Cedar works from home Tagney crawls to the office door and shouts "Da Da", and when I tell him Daddy is working he is so bumbed out...I usually get a couple tears! :( That just kills me! Here are my two favorite guys having a good time.

Woo Hoo!

Tagney has added a few new words to his vocab. He recently brought back "Uh Oh!". The newest words would be "Cookie" which he says if he would like a Fig Newton (his favorite!) "Hot, Hot" which he uses for lights, fireplaces, candles, anything that looks bright or flashy. It has come in handy with the Christmas tree, this too is considered "hot hot" to Tagney and he doesn't touch it, which works out for me! :) He also says (or should I say attempts to say) "Reigny Girl" which sounds more like "Wainy Dur" but I know what he is saying, and it is too cute! He is a pro at signing "all done" and "more", and we are always working on trying to get him to sign more, but so far those are the only two that have really caught on.

He is trying more and more to walk, he will transfer from the coffee table to the couch, and if I say "walk to Da Da Tag" he will give us a few steps. He will walk behind his truck and the fire truck he has at Nana and Papa's house too.

Can't believe how time flys! We are so thankful for Tagney, and his spunky spirit! He can be a handful, but he is, not doubt worth every second! :)

It is so hard to believe our little Tagney True turned one! He did so good without one nap all day! We almost lost him right before we sang him happy birthday, but after a little sugar he was bright eyed and ready to open presents! I realized after I uploaded all the photos that I did them backwards, so I decided to just leave them that way! :) Thank you Aaron and Martha for capturing Tag's first big day on camera, they turned out great!

11 Months Already!

Well technically, 11 months tomorrow! We can't believe our little man is coming up on his 1st Birthday! Tagney has been such a blessing to our family, we couldn't be more thankful for our beautiful healthy little guy!
Sorry I haven't posted anything as of late....Cedar's work camera broke so he has had to use mine. I will be getting mine back as soon as he gets a chance to grab a new one.

As many of you know, we have been working on teaching Tagney how to sign. He has picked up on the sign for "more", but as you can tell in this picture he signs it his own way (but we know what he means!).... The correct way is to bring all your fingers to your thumb on both hands and tap them together.

This picture is one of Tagney upset and signing "more" because he wanted to eat the grass and I kept taking it away from him!

I can't believe how fast our little guy is growing up! We had his 9 month check up on the 17th, and he is still our big healthy boy. He is 23 lbs now, which means he has consistently gained one pound a month since he was about 4 months old. He is in the 95% for height and weight, and that cranium of his is off the charts!

Tag still says his usual words, Dada, Momma and Nana. He has recently added "Uh-Oh" to his vocab, which is so cute! I have been signing to Tag since he was about 7 months old, and he recently started to sign back "more". We are working on signs for no-no, daddy, mommy, bath, thank you, please, hungry, and all done. I try to always use the signs when I talk to him. It is really amazing to see his little brain turning as he watches!

Along with talking and signing, Tagney is now waving bye-bye, clapping his hands and says "yeah", gives hi fives, and my favorite, he will give a kiss when you ask for one - usually a typical open mouth spitty baby kiss, but adorable still! :)

Tagney is officially mobile! He does something I would refer to as an "army crawl" - he uses one leg and one arm to scoot across the floor on his belly - but according to his pediatrician that is crawling. He is now into all the "no-no's" in the house, which is keeping me on my toes to put it lightly!

I plan on posting some pictures really soon of our peanut!

Tagney got his first two bottom teeth. He started the "teething" process a couple days before we left for Alaska, and by the end of the trip they had both cut through. He is such a cutie with his new little teeth, but he has bit me a couple times while he is nursing....I say "no, no Tag!" and he lets out a loud cry! Of course it's my fault! :) He has also bit my shoulder, I think he is testing me....he always looks to see my reaction, what a stinker!

I was blessed to get away and spend two weeks in beautiful Alaska! The first week, My parents, Brooklynn, myself & Tagney went up. Cedar and his Dad joined us for the second week. We had so much fun, catching fish,looking for grizzly bears, working on the cabin, playing cards, eating like kings,enjoying eachothers company and soaking up God's beautiful creation! Tagney loved being out side, as he "oohed" and "awwed" every time he went outside, and showed disappointment when it was time to come in. There is no doubt he will be just like his Daddy when it comes to a love for the outdoors! Here are a few pictures of our time way up North!

On Sunday, Tagney enjoyed watching Cedar and his Dad work out in the yard. Hawaii

We had a great time in Hawaii....although is was a much different vacation with a 6.5 month old, it was still a blast! Here are a few pictures of our "Girls Trip" + Baby Tagney vacation in Hawaii

Tagney was a trooper on the plane both there and back...we were so fortunate to have the ONE empty seat on the plane on the way there, so Tag could sleep!

I was surprised that he liked his glasses, he thought he could see us, and we couldn't see him, it was too cute!

Tagney was a great traveler! He slept great in a new place, but I am now working on getting him back on our home schedule! One thing I learned is I will not be taking a "red eye" flight with an infant anymore....although he did great, I think it messed up his schedule even more!!!

Already 6 Months Old!

I can hardly believe our little guy is already 6 months old...time has flown by as it usually does! On the 17th we had Tagney's 6th month check up...no big surprise, he is a BIG boy! He now weighs 20 pounds and is 29 inches long...which puts him close to off the charts in height and about 95% for his weight. His head continues to measure off the charts:)! He enjoys trying to be mobile, but still is just able to roll both ways. He, as many of you know is quite the spitter (more like pucker!) so when he is on his tummy he pukes, and then proceeds to play with it, to say the least it is making this stage in his growth a little more challenging, but hey that's what kids are all about! Tag now is eating solids at least once a day....but for the most part is pretty much content on Mommas milk! He eats rice cereal with some apple sauce mixed in for breakfast, and has surprising enjoyed green peas for dinner!
Tagney is becoming quite the Mommas boy! He still is totally all about his Daddy, loves his Nana, but lately has been all about his Momma! This, as all you Mom's know, is so sweet, but at times is exhausting! I keep telling myself to cherish these moments, because I know the time will come, when I am not the top of his list, and I will be wishing for that exhausting affection!
Tag also loves dogs.....he is in love with our dog Reign, and loves to pull at her ears (as long as Reign tolerates it!) and attempts to chew on her! My sister has a smaller dog, and he loves to watch him run around the house...when Tag sees a dog or a cat for that matter, his little legs start kicking, and he gets all excited!
Another thing I have noticed Tag taking an interest in would be music! He loves to watch American Idol with us....during the talking or commercials...it is almost as if he has no interest in the TV, then when they start singing, he stops what he is doing and will just watch....so precious! Also when we are riding in the car, sometimes Tag will "sing" along with me....which is one of the cutest things I have ever heard!!!
Everyday God has shown me what an incredible blessing Tag has been to our family! At times, being a parent can be overwhelming, and even seem so exhausting, then Tag will do something like sing with me in the car, or give me a huge smile, or dig his little head into my shoulder giving me sweet cuddles, and all the hardships of parenting seem so insignificant and small! What a true blessing from our Lord and Savior!!!

My Mom has been watching Tagney for me while I work. Today my niece Brooklynn is helping out, since she is on spring break. She sent me this picture of Tagney wearing Nana's glasses. It put a big grin on my face and made my day, so I thought I would share it! What a Peanut, Momma's Peanut!

Tagney continues to grow like a weed! He is now rolling over very well, which it interesting with his "puking" issues, but what do ya do!?! He has been saying "Dada", well more like "dadadadada" for quite some time (I don't think he knows that he is saying it) but it is the sweetest thing. I can't wait to hear Mama, now that will make my year!

Baby Talk...

Tagney rolled over for the first time today from his belly to his back. He did it about 3 times, but I wasn't able to catch it on video (darn). He has started this new little "ah" sound to get our attention. After he does it, he looks at us to mimic the sound. Once we make this "ah" sound he does it back, and so on and so on. So cute! Here is a little video of him making his "ah" sound (sorry for the poor quality...it was on my cell phone).

My sister got Tag this outfit, and I thought it ws way to big! Well I was going through his outfits that I put away in his closet for a later day and held it up to him, it just fits! He continues to grow like a weed!!! Uncle Josh really likes this outfit, as he is a "die hard" Husky fan so we had to get a shot of him with Tag sporting his purple and gold!

Almost Rolling Over...

Tag has been trying to role over for a couple weeks now. He still hasn't quite figured it out, but soon enough I am sure he will. I am glad he is in no hurry to become "mobile"! Here are a few pictures of his attempts!

4 Month Check Up

Tagney's 4 month check up was today, and all though he continues to be off the charts in his growth, he isn't as big as I thought he was. The last time we weighed him, it was on our home scale that weighs about 5 lbs. heavy (which I completely forgot!), and that was were I came up with the 19 lbs. Well today at the doctors office he weighed in at 18 lbs. on the dot! So, even though he isn't as heavy as we have been thinking, he still is no lite weight! He is 28 inches long, and his head is 18 inches round!
After Tag's appointment, we headed in to work. He is out of his infant car seat and in to the convertible one. Here are a few pictures of him in his new car seat, and on the way into work with Mommy!

As you can see, Tag is a very happy baby! We are enjoying ever minute, he is such a sweet heart!

A Special Gift

When Tagney was still "baking" his Nana (Cedar's Mom) knit him a blanket and matching cap. I remember thinking the cap was so big! I tried it on him the other day, and good thing I did, it now fits his "not so little" head perfect!

Tagney's First Christmas

Christmas was a new experience with a new baby! Tagney scored a bunch of presents, tons of hugs and kisses and was quite popular....too bad he won't even remember. On Christmas Eve we went to Cedar's Mom's and then to Don Huber's for dinner. On Christmas day, we went to my sister's house for breakfast, and then off to Port Angeles to see my extended family, and Sequim on the way home to see Cedar's Grandma Dee. It was very busy to say the least! Here are a couple pictures of Tag's First Christmas.

What A Blow Out!

For some reason, Tagney always has done the classic diaper "blow out" when we are out of the house, usually at an even like a wedding or a Thanksgiving gathering. However, on Sunday morning, right after his bath he gave us the biggest blow out yet! I am so glad Cedar was there to assist in the cleanup! Here are a few pictures of Daddy digging in deep!

Yestersday, we had Tagney's 2 month check up. Even though I knew my little boy has been doing alot of growing this last month, I was surprised to learn just how much he has grown. He continues to be in the 90% to 97% on the the charts. He now weighs in at a wopping 14lbs, 6 oz. and has grown another inch long, and he is now 24inches long! His head has also put on another inch! To say the least we have a big boy on our hands! Tagney is quite the "spitter" and I remember when I thought he wasn't getting enough milk, with the LARGE amount he would spit up after each feeding....well with his growth being off the charts, I no longer worry about that! I continue to be in "aw" of this miracle God has blessed our family with!

Hunting For the Perfect Tree

Four Weeks Old Already!

I can hardly believe it, our little Tagney is already one month old! The time has flown by....seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital! At his check up appointment last week he weighed 9lbs, 9ozs and was already 23 inches long! To say the least he is growing like a weed! He is in the 75% for weight and 95% for height.

We have enjoyed every second so far and can't wait to see his growth and changes in the future. He has been sleeping anywhere from 3 - 5 hours a night, which has been really nice! Every day I look at the amazing gift God has blessed our family with and I am so thankful for Tagney! He has already taught me so much, and has given me a new respect for the great Mothers I know, not to mention my Mom, who had 6 of us little "bessings" running around! What a trooper!

IT'S A BOY! Tagney True Paddock

Tagney finally arrived on October 17th, at 7:09pm by c-section, 8lbs 4oz, and 21 inches long. As many of you know, we wanted to have a natural child birth, at a birthing center, but after a long hard try (20 hours in labor), we were unable to. I can fill you in on all the details if you haven't heard already! It is a long story, Cedar tells it much better then I do! Tagney has been nothing but a blessing, such a good baby! I am trying to enjoy every minute I have with this little bundle becuase I know he will be walking before I know it! At the end of the day God blessed us with a beautiful healthy baby boy, and a healthy Momma! Thank you for all your prayers!

31 Weeks & 2 Days

Coming up on the 8 month mark, and feeling as though I should be coming up on week 40! I am sure all of you ladies, that have been on my shoes can relate! In my fathers words " I don't think you are gonna make it to October"...even though I have told him that comments like these rate on the "top 5 things not say to a pregnant lady", he continues to tell me this! I am feeling pretty good, my ribs are always soar by the end of the day, and my feet are looking more like clubs these days, but over all I have had a pretty good pregnancy, I can't complain. Baby had the hicups the first time, when we were on vacation in Cannon Beach...pretty wild, I was trying to take a nap and had a hard time due to the baby's hicups! Baby is moving like crazy, and usually decides to be most active in the middle of the night...on my bladder! That is one thing I will not miss, the 3-5 trips to the toilet at night! Can't wait to meet baby! We have a check up coming up on the 19th, I will let you know how it goes!

28 Weeks, 2 days pregnant...

Today I had my monthly check up...had to drink that syrup they make you drink to test you for being diabetic. Tasted like flat pop and gave me heart burn (but then again what doesn't give me heart burn these days!). Baby seemed to enjoy the sugar filled drink, started dancing and kept dancing for quite some time. Babies heart rate was still in the 140's, so still giving no clues as to what we are having! Still feeling pretty well, other then the normal "aches and pains" that come along with heading into the 3rd trimester. I have noticed that the fatigue has returned, similar to the 1st trimester.
I had a great Birthday with family and friends, and managed to score a new camera! Just in time for Baby Paddock!

July 3rd, 2008 - Baby Kaitlyn arrived!

Last week I was able to witness my girlfriend, Gina's natural waterbirth at the Birthing Inn, which is what I am shooting for. We also share the same midwife, so it was nice to see her in action and gives me such comfort knowing I am in her care. It was such an awsome experience, and helps me get into the mental mind set I need for the near future!!! Gina did awsome, giving birth just before the 4th to beautiful baby Kaitlyn...weighing in at a tiny 6 pounds, 15oz. Too bad you can't see her in this picture...she is so cute! I can only hope that I am blessed with a tiny one, but something tells me I won't be so lucky!

Baby Paddock seems to be moving more (if that is possible) these days. Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night, I swear it feels like baby is tap dancing in there!

25 Weeks & Growing By The Second!

Since Kristal requested a "belly picture" on her last comment, I thought I would post one...as the title says, I feel like I am growing by the second! We finally are getting the sun, but I guess I should be careful what I wish for! The heat has been making my feet swell a bit, and makes me a little more uncomfortable, but it's not too bad. I have noticed that when I am on my feet all day (cleaning the house)my feet are killing me, and when I am sitting all day (at work) my back kills me! Overall I am still feeling really good, just tend to get soar if I do one thing for too long. Baby likes to put on a "dancing show" in my belly for Cedar and I to watch, which never gets old! It has been really cool to be able to finally share our little "dancer" with each other and our family & friends! At my last check up, baby's heart rate was mid to high 140's, which is in the "in between" when it comes to trying to determine boy or girl....so baby is not giving any clues!

Grandpa & Grandma Maybee's 60th Wedding Anniversary

This last weekend we all went up to Port Angeles to celebrate our grandparents 60th Wedding Anniversary....looks like we are shy one sister-in-law...any takers?! Just kidding Josh, I love you! We had a great time, and it was so good to see all the Aunts/Uncles, and cousins!At 24 weeks pregnant, all the extended family were pretty suprised to see my growing belly, and wanted to make sure we weren't expecting twins!!! Believe me, there is only one, and all of a sudden he/she decided to start growing! I had a check up on Monday, and my belly is measuring at 26 weeks pregnant....my sweet midwife assures me I am simply going through one of my "growing spurts". Lets hope so!!! The nightmares of having a 10 pound baby are starting to scare me! Sorry about the blurry picture...it was the best one we had!

23 Weeks, 2 Days Prego!

23 Weeks, 2 days and counting! Feel as though my tummy has tripled in size these last couple weeks! I am still feeling really good, although my lower back has started to bother me a bit. My feet have started to "swell" and I found a spider vein on my right leg the other day which I freaked out about, but the more I talk to people the more normal it sounds. Baby has noticeable "awake" and "sleep" habits....usually pretty active between 9:00ish to about 10:00 or so in the morning, and then again later after dinner. I can expect a kick or two randomly throughout the day, but those two times are ones I can usually plan on happening daily! It is so exciting to be able to feel this little baby actually growing inside me! Such a crazy and great experience - I have a hole new respect for the female body, and the awesome miracle of life God has blessed us with!

Still feeling pretty good these days. Finally got a body pillow to help with my lower back pain, and I love it! Baby Paddock is getting stronger and stronger, and keeps me from getting to bed as soon as I would like, but that is something I do not mind being bothered with!

I am officially halfway there! Baby's moments have become more and more noticeable in the last week or so. Seems as though baby decides to wake up when I am tired and ready to settle down for the night, and usually is pretty active in the morning after I get to work and sit down at my desk. I am feeling great for the most part....with the exception of some minor back pain, and being pretty tired. Cedar and I met up with friends Joe & Vinka, Mateo, and baby Sky, and enjoyed a relaxing camping trip on the East side of the mountains. Aside from the restless sleep, it was a very nice, but short weekend for baby P's first camping trip.
My tummy feels as though it is getting bigger by the day! Still wearing my regular jeans, unbuttoned with a bella band =).....not sure how much longer that is going to last!

First Ultra Sound - 19 Weeks & 2 Days

Today we had our first ultra sound of Baby Paddock. Everything looks great, and baby is healthy...weighs about 10 ounces, ten fingers & ten little toes. Baby was being a bit stubborn...not giving us too many great pictures, but we were able to get a couple good ones when baby wasn't hiding its face =).

I feel like baby has grown a lot in the last couple weeks...at least that is what my tummy seems to be showing! All of a sudden my little baby bump has turned into a large tummy over night!

17 weeks,1 day and a flutter!!!

Had a really hard time sleeping last night.....I was up, on and off from 2:00am to 5:30am, with the "round ligament pains" in my lower abdomen.
As I was waking up this morning I felt a little "flutter" in my lower abdomen. Not sure it was the baby, I just laid there hoping it might happen again. Then about 15 seconds later, the same little "flutter".....and then another about 5 seconds later. It was so cool to finally get to feel baby! I rolled over to Cedar, and tapped him on the shoulder and said " I felt it!"....he said "really are you sure?!.....thats cool hun!". We are scheduled for our first ultra sound on May 20th, and I can hardly wait to see our little jelly bean!

I am feeling great these days, other then being pretty tired by the end of the day. Haven't felt any movement, but if I lay on my stomach, it feels like a large knot in my tummy. I am starting to show a little baby bump these days, which is exciting! Still in my regular jeans, but they are starting to get a little unconfortable!
